In 1982, high school principal Hyrum Tatton created accounting software to help his small Utah school run more smoothly. He was an experienced programmer with a simple goal: make life easier for school staff. That one solution grew into a company — and a philosophy. Today, TES Software builds and supports tools designed from the ground up for schools.
Our focus remains tight: support and upgrading our current software to a modern, unified platform. The technology is changing, but our foundation isn’t. Support and relationships remain the bedrock of TES — always have, always will.
We are modernizing each of our core products to better serve districts. MySchoolTimeClock is already running on the new tech stack, with MySchoolFees.com 12 launching in 2025–26 and MySchoolAccounting 12 following in 2026–27.
The new stack is API-driven, built on shared core services, and designed so everything works together seamlessly. It’s platform agnostic and built on industry-standard tools — Blazor, .NET Core, and MS SQL Server — to ensure speed, scalability, and long-term reliability.
We’re a small team with a focused mission: to support K–12 schools with dependable software and people who care. Our developers, support staff, and leadership work side by side to ensure every school gets the tools and help they need. Most of our support team has worked in schools or used our software firsthand, so they understand both the job and the pressure. TES feels like your team.
